In 2007, the Best Club Person Award was renamed the Remy Martin Award.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of any club. They sacrifice more than they need to for the benefit of the club. Melton Centrals is a community of people who provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all families. This is not possible without the assistance of all volunteers.

The Remy Martin Award recognises the important contribution volunteers make to Melton Centrals. The Award holds a very special significance to those at Melton Centrals and has rewarded volunteers who bleed the Navy Blue.

Remy Martin was one such volunteer. Remy worked tirelessly on game day assisting the committee back in 2004. He volunteered his time for the club while watching his beloved sons, Chris and Matthew, play football. Many times he was seen out on the gate collecting money, once he had finished his job, he would then do the around the ground raffle before watching the seniors. There were many jobs Remy did around the club, but he never complained, cause an issue or ask for recognition.

Remy Martin is Melton Centrals through and through and typifies the culture and character we all should follow. The Best Club Person Award was renamed after Remy in honour of his efforts for the club and we will remember him forever as an integral part of the heart and soul of Melton Centrals.
